As water availability becomes more challenging due to the changing climate, managing water in a sustainable way has become a key facet of the work of landowners and land managers. Many are already taking action to tackle this challenge by:

• Investing in farm water storage and working together with neighbours and local authorities to explore opportunities to retain water through on-farm reservoirs and other constructed wetlands;

• Using crop varieties better suited to new weather conditions (e.g. varieties that are more resilient to heat or drought) while adjusting sowing dates according to changing temperature and rainfall patterns;
