Sept 26, 2017 – Today, Dandelion announces the completion of its first home geothermal installation, officially delivering renewable heating and cooling at groundbreaking affordability. The system leverages renewable energy below the ground of the house of Becky Meier and Bob Connors in Canaan, New York, just outside of Albany. The two are founders of Stop New York Fracked Gas Pipeline, an active nonprofit organization fighting fossil fuel pipelines and promoting renewable energy in the Capital District region.
Dandelion worked with its local installer partner, Aztech Geothermal, to complete the installation of a four ton system in the 2,000 square-foot home. Dandelion is making home geothermal installations affordable by introducing several process and technology innovations, including for marketing, drilling, and financing.
