Thrifty Green Life

Like a huge majority of 30 something’s my husband and I are stuck in the over priced rental market and are desperate to own our own home. Unfortunately for us we are both pretty good at wasting money. A latte here, a takeaway there and before we know it we have frittered away hundreds over the course of the month.

We have realised that we simply cannot go on like this and so as the new year has just begun we’ve had to make a drastic decision. We have decided that the only way we will be able to save as much as we need for a deposit to buy our own home is to live as frugally as we possibly can. This means goodbye Starbucks, shopping sprees, Yo Sushi and hello to gumtree, freecycle and Aldi!
